CAM 2025 highlights

Highlights include:

  • High-level conference with inspiring leaders from Europe and beyond focusing on shaping the future of higher education in science and technology — featuring Vanessa Debiais-Sainton (Member of Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Roxana Mînzatu, European Commission), Amitava Mitra (Executive Director of New Engineering Education Transformation at Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Nicolas Peter (Senior Advisor to the Director General of the European Space Agency), and contributions from students, researchers, rectors and presidents of our Members.
  • Workshop on navigating challenges and opportunities in responsible internationalisation with contributions from senior officials of the Government of Czech Republic, several invited case studies from across our Members and focused small group discussions to address challenges and explore solutions from the institutional perspective to real-life cases.
  • High-level roundtable on governance and strategic vision of European Universities alliances featuring invited representatives from European Commission and the European University Association, together with leaders and student representative from across Members.
  • Exclusive leadership track ‘Competitive by design: Leadership in STEM from lab to global impact’ at Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno hosted by CEO Petr Střelec together with Ladislav Janíček (Rector of Brno University of Technology), featuring an executive tour of Europe’s electron microscopy hub followed by high-level discussions with senior industry representatives and leaders from MIT, Thermo Fisher, Honeywell, and FabLab Brno.
  • General Assembly, including elections of our next Board and President, and key discussions and decisions on our association’s Strategy 2030. Join us to elect our next leadership team and set the course for the decade ahead.
  • Welcome reception at the one-of-a-kind Brno Observatory and Planetarium and conference dinner at the exceptional Grand Passage Ballroom of the historical Hotel Passage.
