Item 1: Welcome, roundtable and adoption of agenda

9:00 - 9:15

Everyone is invited to introduce themselves and present their considerations to be engaged in the work of the editors of the Workgroup Sustainability (please have a look at the fully updated page of this body in our Extranet, including the composition and relevant events until the end of this year). We herewith enquire whether you would be willing and have time to join our team working and editing on these two documents together with our other bodies. Please note, that all work will mostly occur along online collaborative content development and only three meetings taking place fully online are foreseen for this editors team.

Item 2: Present progress and provide answers on questions

9:15 - 9:35

David will present the progress of our association in achieving the overall objective of our Work Plan from 2020 2021 - Shape knowledge societies for a sustainable future in Europe and beyond. We have now summarised all work in this area actually covering all our 1,200 volunteers and leaders in a of the Workgroup Sustainability and herewith kindly invite you to have a look.

  • There are many links directing to online documents for collaborative content development and we kindly invite you to immediately insert any comments, revisions and additions at any time when reading through these deliverables. Since the pandemic, our association has switched to fully online and advances all our work along this method. So any contributions are very welcome and will be processed in due time.

Item 3: Discuss Outline White Paper

We have started the co-design of our white paper together with many of our task forces and workgroups. We will discuss the overall structure and investigate interest to work on the relevant parts.

  • All participants are kindly invited to insert any comments, revisions and additions directly into the online document when preparing for the meeting. Your insertion will show up as track changes and we really are grateful for any contribution also after the meeting until 8 April.

Item 4: Discuss Building Stones for Declaration

We have started the co-design of our Declaration together with many of our task forces and workgroups. We will discuss the overall structure and investigate interest to work on the relevant parts.

Item 5: Agree working methods and planning

We herewith enquire whether you would be willing and have time to join our team working and editing on these two documents together with our other bodies. Please note, that all work will mostly occur along online collaborative content development and only two more formal meetings taking place fully online are foreseen for this editors team:

  • Thursday, 10 June from 8:00 to 11:00 local time Brussels
  • Thursday, 19 August from 8:00 to 11:00 local time Brussels

Item 5: Any other business

You way wish to consider blocking your agendas for events that you are interested in. We will add this group into the invitation lists for these events. Please note that due to the continued insecurities, our Board has decided to continue working fully online until the end of August and will decide upon any in-person attendance by end of May (see also our updated Covid-19 approach and save-the-dates for events 2021).
