On Monday, 22 June 2026, from 10:00-11:15, Orgalim and CESAER will proudly co-host a presentation of their joint initiative and a panel discussion on the governance and architecture of EU-funded collaborative research under the next Horizon Europe framework.
It is possible to join the webinar by registering here.
The next EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation will be central to Europe’s ability to strengthen its competitiveness, technological leadership and resilience. As Europe faces intensifying global competition, rapid technological change and growing pressure to reinforce its economic security, collaborative research and innovation must remain a core instrument for pooling capabilities across borders, sectors and disciplines.
Orgalim (Europe's tech industries) and CESAER (Europe's universities of science and technology) have therefore launched a joint initiative to explore how EU-funded collaborative research can be designed to deliver greater European impact under the next Horizon Europe framework. This includes questions of governance, architecture and implementation, as well as how universities of science and technology and Europe’s technology industries can work together more effectively to advance excellent research, industrial innovation and the accelerated development of critical technologies.
The discussion will explore how the future framework can combine scientific and technological excellence with strategic relevance, while preserving openness, simplification and strong participation from universities, research organisations, industry and other innovation actors. It will also consider how collaborative research can contribute to Europe’s long-term competitiveness and sovereignty by supporting knowledge creation, technology development, skills, scale-up and deployment across European value chains.
