Over 300 organisations have signed a joint call for an ambitious Horizon Europe budget, urging investment in excellent, cross-border research, education and innovation to cope with the challenges and the opportunities of the twenty-first century.
The initiative was launched by CESAER and 14 other university associations, representing over 800 universities. The signatories include nearly 40 of our Members as well European associations, rectors conferences and academies.
The broad coalition of support for the message demonstrates how critical it is to call upon the European Union institutions and national policy makers to reinforce investment in knowledge at the European level. The timing is critical as the negotiations on the EU’s long-term budget from 2021 to 2027 are entering the final stages.
To voice your support for the message, use the hashtag #EUinvestinKnowledge, or write a letter to your relevant national minsters, such as foreign and European affairs, finance, research and higher education ministers or even to your head of state or government as appropriate in your national context.
