Our Board of Directors has appointed the (Co-)Chairs for our seven task forces under the Work Plan from 2024 to 2025. They will take office as of 1 January 2024.
At its meeting on 12 December, our Board designated the following persons to (co)-chair our task forces under the Work Plan from 2024 to 2025:
- Peter Elspass (Head of University Development & Controlling at Leibniz University Hannover) for the Task Force Benchmark;
- Tanya Bondarouk (Dean of Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences at University of Twente) and Manuel Heitor (Director of Technology Policy Lab and Full Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico) for the Task Force Human Resources;
- Tim Bedford (Associate Principal Research & Knowledge Exchange at University of Strathclyde) and Toril Hernes (Pro-Rector for Innovation at Norwegian University of Science and Technology) for the Task Force Innovation;
- Justyna Szostak (Chair of Internationalisation Committee at Gdańsk Tech) and Roberto Zanino (Rector's Delegate for PhD Programmes and International University Networks at Politecnico di Torino) for the Task Force Learning & Teaching;
- Jennifer Herek (Dean of Faculty Science and Technology at University of Twente) and Simone Rehm (Vice Rector for Information Technology at University of Stuttgart) for the Task Force Openness of Science & Technology;
- Alberto Garido (Vice Rector for Quality and Efficiency at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) for the Task Force Sustainability;
- Christian Gerhardts (Head of European Project Center at TU Dresden) and Wendy Sonneveld (Senior Policy Adviser European Affairs at Ghent University) for the Task Force Sustainable Funding.

We want to extend our gratitude to the Chairs who led our task forces under the Work Plan from 2022 to 2023 and whose mandates end in 2023 namely:
- Guillermo Cisneros (Rector of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), outgoing Chair of the Task Force Sustainability;
- Anna Steiger (Chancellor of University of Stuttgart), outgoing Chair of the Task Force Human Resources.
The Board expresses its highest appreciation to our Envoys whose mandate finish at the end of this year namely:
- Guillermo Cisneros (Rector of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) who served as our Envoy to the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU;
- Sally Chambers (Digital Humanities Research Coordinator at Ghent Centre for Digital Humanities) who served as our Envoy to ESFRI Stakeholder Forum;
- Peter Elspass (Head of University Development & Controlling at Leibniz University Hannover) who served as our EHESO Envoy;
- Anna Steiger (Chancellor of University of Stuttgart) who served as our CoARA Envoy.
