We are delighted to welcome Queen’s University Belfast, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology to the CESAER family as of 1 January 2026.

Queen’s University Belfast (QUB)

Founded in 1845 as Queen’s College Belfast and becoming an independent university in 1908, Queen’s University Belfast has a long and distinguished history of advancing education and research. With over 25,000 students, QUB has grown into a leading institution committed to addressing global challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration. Its heritage reflects a dedication to fostering innovation and societal impact, while maintaining strong ties to its local and international communities.

Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN)

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca traces its origins back to 1948, when it was established as the Cluj Polytechnic Institute. Since then, it has evolved into a comprehensive technical university, deeply rooted in Romania’s industrial and technological development. Housing just under 20,000 students, UTCN combines tradition with modernity, offering a wide range of programs and promoting international cooperation. Its mission is to advance science and technology education and research, while nurturing an inclusive and forward-looking academic environment.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Wrocław Tech)

Wrocław University of Science and Technology was founded in 1945 and is one of the leading technical universities in Central and Eastern Europe, recognised for excellence in research, education, and innovation. Today, it stands as one of Poland’s leading technical universities, known for its strong emphasis on engineering and innovation. Wrocław Tech has played a pivotal role in shaping technological progress in the region, with over 21,000 students, it fosters collaboration between academia and industry and prepares graduates for leadership in a rapidly changing world.
