Europe is outlining its next generation of EU funding programmes amid significant uncertainty.
The choices made now will shape Europe’s future in science, technology and its talent base for the next decade. The universities on the continent are in many ways showing that the effective competitiveness-oriented ecosystems are less about inventing new structures and more about scaling the things that work. Europe has a real opportunity to get this right but it will require coherence and clarity between its programmes.
