Engagement with ranking agencies: Monitor developments in global and regional rankings, foster peer exchange on institutional strategies in response to rankings, and engage with ranking agencies (e.g., THE, QS, Shanghai, Engirank) to strengthen transparency, fairness and methodological clarity and robustness.
European performance assessment frameworks: Shape emerging European approaches to performance assessment, including contributions to European Higher Education Sector Observatory (EHESO), updates to next-generation metrics, and contribute to the evolving approaches for assessing the performance of European Universities alliances and for benchmarking regional innovation ecosystems.
Peer learning: Foster peer learning among members by sharing practices in performance assessment, benchmarking, rankings analysis, and institutional evaluations. Explore the use of AI in institutional research and emerging data sources in institutional research to support evidence-informed strategies. Promote dialogue on methodological developments and specific changes in rankings and in qualitative assessment frameworks relevant to universities of science and technology.
