Mission, scope and objectives

The Task Force Leadership reflects upon and reviews selected results from other task forces (white papers), contributes to the transformation of these results into leadership in a critical, yet constructive, fashion and advises the Board of Directors on leadership. It thus takes the lead in the conclusion of MoUs with academic and societal players, processes white papers and works towards declarations. These MoUs and declarations concern commitments on behalf of the Association offered by the Board of Directors for adoption to the General Assembly.

The Task Force Leadership will realise the following objectives linked to the key mechanism from the Work Plan 2018-2019:

  1. reflect upon the white papers on Research Data Management, on the Recognition of Credits and Degrees, on the Next Generation Metrics and on Gender and Diversity;
  2. pave the way for close collaboration between the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the European Space Agency (ESA) on the one hand and our association and its Members on the other;
  3. transform input from other task forces into MoUs and declarations as concrete tools and resources to our Members;
  4. promote talent in the sense of the leadership development within our Members.
