Mission, scope and objectives
The Task Force Link SSH with STEM supports and encourages our Members in optimising the collaboration between SSH and STEM, because addressing grand challenges requires new technologies, new policies and a deep understanding of human needs, culture and behaviour.
The Task Force Link SSH with STEM:
- Explores how linking of the SSH with STEM can contribute to tackling the complex ecological, social and economic, challenges and to steer technology-driven transformations towards contributing to sustainability;
- Promotes the sharing of best practices of collaboration between SSH and STEM in both inter- and transdisciplinary research and STEAM education from our Members;
- Engages with Task Force Competitive Funding to evaluate and analyse support for inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration through funding instruments;
- Advocates for more high-quality integration of SSH in STEM-led projects under the next generation of EU funding instruments from 2021 to 2027.
