In 2025 we engaged in advocacy efforts and peer learning through our seven task forces: Sustainability; Openness of Science & Technology; Learning & Teaching; Innovation; Benchmark; Human Resources; and Sustainable Funding.
These task forces played a central role in identifying the challenges and opportunities facing our Members, and in supporting them to address those challenges and capitalise on those opportunities. In parallel, our association adopted Strategy 2030, setting out a shared vision and strategic direction for CESAER.
Clarity, credibility and collective strength have defined CESAER’s contribution in a year of fast-moving change for Europe and for our universities.
Orla Feely, President of CESAER and President of University College Dublin, said:
“This Annual Report is titled ‘Leading together’ because it captures what made that strength possible: leaders and experts from our Members combined deep technical capability, long-term academic responsibility and a practical understanding of how policy choices translate into real-world outcomes. That combination is precisely what Europe needs.”
We thank all our Members for their valuable work throughout the past year. By leading together, we will continue to strengthen our role as the strong and united voice of universities of science and technology in Europe.
