The Forum of Universities for the Future of Europe organised by the French Presidency of the Council of the EU took place on 25 to 26 January, and was intended to provide an opportunity for reflection on the role of universities in the Europe of the future and their contribution to its construction.

Our Director Roberto Zanino (Politecnico di Torino) was invited to the session ‘Strengthening the training-employment link: teaming up to increase the competitiveness of European higher education’ on 26 January where he gave a presentation entitled From servicing particular interests to ensuring science and technology benefit humanity and our planet (PDF). Through his contribution, he explored drivers for change, how we should respond to these, the partners needed and experiences from our association, PoliTo and the European University alliance Unite!.
